GRP26xx 1.0.15.8 Release Notes

In order to upgrade from firmware 1.0.13.x or older version to 1.0.15.1+, you need to first upgrade to transition firmware 1.0.15.0.
Firmware 1.0.15.0 firmware bin file grp2610fw.bin is included in the following 1.0.15.8 firmware package.

Note:

1. Downgrading from firmware 1.0.15.x to 1.0.13.x or older firmware requires manually restoring devices’ previous firmware’s backup files. Before upgrading to 1.0.15.x, please make sure to perform backup via the phone’s webUI and save the backup file first. If you prefer to downgrade later, you will need to use this backup file to restore the phone’s configuration and data. Please refer to 1.0.15.8 release notes “Important Notes” section for instructions.

2. Firmware 1.0.15.x is NOT applicable to legacy hardware (hardware revision v1.x) for GRP2612, GRP2612P, GRP2612W, GRP2613, GRP2614, GRP2615, GRP2616. Please refer to the product label at the back of the phone, if the PN is 962-NNNNN-XNN where X is 1, it is legacy hardware.

3. Devices on firmware 1.0.9.x or below cannot upgrade to firmware 1.0.11.9+ directly through WebUI. Please upgrade via HTTP/TFTP. The first time you perform an upgrade from 1.0.9.x to 1.0.11.9+, the phone will first upgrade to 2.0.11.x and then upgrade to 1.0.11.x. This process is automatic when upgrading to 1.0.11.x, so if you see 2.0.11.x as the alternative firmware, you can ignore it. For all future upgrades afterwards, it will upgrade directly to 1.0.11.x. (Except legacy hardware). Please refer to release notes for more details.
