What’s the difference between one-stage dialing and two-stage dialing?
One stage dialing means the end user hears a dial tone immediately and can place a call. Two-stage dialing means the end user has to dial twice - once to reach a second dial tone, and again to reach the final destination. In other words, a call traversing from PSTN to VoIP or VoIP to PSTN must go through two dialing stages to reach the intended recipient. For example, a VoIP user will complete the first stage by calling a pre-programmed number (on the GXW410x) and receive the PSTN dial tone in return. The user will then complete the second stage by dialing a PSTN number. The reverse happens for PSTN to VoIP calls. If one-stage dialing is used, a call from either the VoIP or PSTN side will pass through the gateway to the intended recipient. With one-stage dialing, a PSTN number dialed by a VoIP user will reach the GXW410x, and the GXW410x will immediately dial the call on the PSTN side. For PSTN to VoIP, an incoming PSTN caller will be directly connected with a VoIP extension. One-stage dialing offers convenient and streamlined dialing, while two-stage dialing offers flexibility and complete access to the VoIP network.
When a call comes in, I am not able to hear the audio or see the video. Why?
Normally, this situation would occur when your phone is connected to the Internet through a router. The phone and the other peripherals on the local network shares the same public IP address, therefore the packets may not be routed to the correct device. Generally speaking, the GXV3140 solves this problem by integrating this with the IPVideoTalk server for automatic NAT detection and NAT traversal. However, if this problem still occurs, please check the following: (1) Log into the web configuration interface of the GXV3140. Under [Advanced Settings], configure the “STUN Server” to a fully functional STUN server. The default STUN server used is “stun.ipvideotalk.com”. (2) Select the corresponding [Account] page and under [Network settings], configure the [NAT Traversal] to AUTO. Save and reboot the phone for changes to take place. (3) If the “AUTO” NAT detection does not work, please change the [NAT Traversal] to STUN. Save and reboot the phone for changes to take place. The above settings are applicable to other servers other than IPVideoTalk. However, if the detected NAT type is symmetrical Nat, please enable the UPNP function on the router.

When I have two SIP trunks registered to the same provider, the incoming calls to both trunks are always received from the first trunk. Why?
If this issue happens to your UCM6100, please check your inbound route configuration and make sure the DID pattern is unique for the inbound route assigned to each of those two trunks. Once the inbound route has unique DID pattern configured, the issue should be resolved. This is because the calls from both trunks have the same IP/port. In the cases when "To header/Request line" doesn't always have the extension that the UCM6100 is registered to, we will need different inbound route DID pattern to differentiate them.
When I use Skype, Pandora, Youtube or other 3rd party apps, the default dialer always pops up with dial tone if I pick up the handset. How can I disable the default dialer when those 3rd party apps are being used?
On the GXP2200 top status bar, go to System Settings and tap on the "Disable Handset" icon (the first icon to the right side) to turn it on. Once turned on, when users pick up handset or puts the handset back while running the 3rd party apps, the audio channel will be toggled between handset and speakerphone.

No, mobile phone cannot act as Bluetooth headset role. When your mobile phone is connected with GXP2140/2160 via Bluetooth hands free mode, you can answer/terminate the mobile phone’s incoming call on GXP phone. Note: The original GA 126.96.36.199 build only supports connecting to Bluetooth Headsets. The current Beta 188.8.131.52 supports both connecting to Bluetooth Headsets and Bluetooth Phones (one at a time).
When will I be forwarded to the voice mailbox and how do I leave a message for the callee?
The IPvideoTalk server will forward the caller to the voicemail box of the callee when the callee is in the following states: (1)No answer. When the ring times out, the call will be forwarded to the voicemail. (2)The callee is busy and rejects the call. (3)The callee enables the DND (Do-Not-Disturb) feature on the phone. (4)The other party is not registered on the IPVideTalk server. The voicemail system prompt will ask you to leave a message after the beep tone. After you hear the voicemail system prompt asking you to leave the message after the beep tone, you are able to leave the message for the other user. The message will be saved on the server and the user can retrieve it at a later time. The GXV3140 is also able to record the video with the audio, making it a video voice message.

You can check Received/Missed Calls along with Outgoing calls made, on the Phone by unhooking the receiver and then pressing CALLERS and CALLED resp. For more detailed Call information you can log onto the web configuration pages, and check the Status page.
