How does PTZ work with the DVS?
Follow these steps to configure the PTZ function on the DVS:
1. Connect the PTZ device to the DVS. A sample connection diagram is shown below.

2. Configure the PTZ related parameters. Log in to the web GUI of the DVS, go to the PTZ page and configure the PTZ protocol and Baud rate according to the specs of the PTZ device.
3. Reboot the DVS.
1. The FOCUS function may not work as many dome cameras support auto focus.
2. Press and hold the corresponding control button to adjust the pan, tilt, zoom and speed.
How does the Alarm_Input & Alarm_Output work?
The Alarm_In port needs DC voltage less than 15V. Users are able to connect 3rd party sensors such as infrared sensor, smoke sensor or light sensor to this port. The Alarm_Out port can be connected to either AC or DC circuits with 125VAC/0.5A or 30VDC/2A. Users can connect 3rd party devices such as alarm siren or alert light to this port. Under normal circumstances, the circuit is open. When there is an alarm event, the device will close the circuit to trigger the alarm. Note: This info can be used for all of Grandstream devices with Alarm_In/Alarm_out ports, e.g. GXV3500, GXV3504, GXV3601_HD, GXV3611_HD, GXV3651_FHD and GXV3662HD/FHD.
How does the DTMF negotation work on the HT5xx series?
How the DTMF negotiation works: DTMF method negotiation: As a Caller/Callee: 1. If disable DTMF negotiation, DUT will use the first dtmf method from webUI. 2. If enable DTMF negotiation, DUT will check if there is RFC2833 from the SDP of 200OK (for Caller) or INVITE (for Callee). If it has RFC2833, DUT will check if itself has RFC2833 in DTMF list. If DUT also has RFC2833, then RFC2833 is chosen. Otherwise, DUT will check if there is SIP INFO supported by callee/caller. And then check itself. If DUT also support SIP INFOin DTMF list, then DUT uses SIP INFO. Otherwise, DUT directly use IN_AUDIO. Note: If negotiation is enabled, the priority of DTMF order doesn’t matter. DUT will first try to match RFC2833 and then SIP INFO, the least priority is In-Audio. If negotiation is disabled, DUT will use the first DTMF method configured in webUI.
How does the GXP2200 Message Waiting Indicator display status?
The GXP2200 message waiting indicator LED is on the top right corner of the device. It notifies users with different status of the phone. Please see the status list below, with priority from high to low. Fast Flashing Green: Incoming call Solid Green: Calling, Talking Slow Flashing Green: Call on hold Flashing Red: Missed calls (s), New voicemail (s), New SIP Message (s) Solid Red: High memory usage, Maximum message number Solid Light Green: The phone is up and running with the screen off
How does the headset work on the GXV3140?
When the headset is connected to the phone there is a small headset icon displayed on the upper left-hand corner of the LCD screen. When the headset is being used for audio out, the icon will become green . The headset output for calls, media player and internet radio is independent and uses different channels. You will need to manually switch to the headset in each application. For example, when there is an incoming call when you are listening to the Internet radio using the headset, the ringtone will be played using the speaker. When the call is answered off-hook, the audio will use the speaker channel. You can switch to the headset after establishing the call, if the headset is disconnected, the call will end.

How many accounts does the GVC3200/GVC3202 support?
The GVC3200/GVC3202 support 4 different accounts:
· SIP account: Can be registered with any SIP Server/IPPBX, or use IP calls with another SIP end device.
· H.323 account: Can be registered with any Gatekeeper/H.323 Platform, or use IP calls with another H.323 end device.
· IPVideoTalk account: Can be registered with IPVideoTalk cloud service, please refer to www.ipvideotalk.com.
· BlueJeans account: Can be used to join Bluejeans meetings without the necessity of installing Bluejeans application.
How many agents can be added in one call queue on the UCM6100 series?
The UCM6100 series supports up to 100 agents to be added in one call queue.
How many audio channels does the GXV3140 support?
Both the handset and speakerphone support audio output. Most 3rd party headsets can be paired with the phone as well.
How many BLF extensions are supported on the UCM6100 series?
On the UCM6100 series, there is no specific limitation on the number of BLF extensions. However, the PBX performance can be affected by the number of subscribers and how the BLF feature is used. For example, 300 subscribers to 50 BLFs will generate much heavier impact than 10 subscribers to 150 BLFs. Also, if the event list BLF, especially the remote BLF monitoring is used, please be aware that adding all the PBX extensions for every office with a peer UCM6100 to the event list could severely impact the UCM6100 performance because of unnecessary state changes sent to every subscriber.
How many call log entries and contacts are supported on GXV3240/GXV3275?
GXV3240/GXV3275 could store up to 1000 contacts and up to 1000 records in call history.
How many Call log entries, messages and contacts supported on GXP2200?
GXP2200 could store up to 1000 contacts and 1000 messages. In call history, GXP2200 could save 500 records for incoming, outgoing and missed calls respectively.
How many call queues does the UCM6100 series support?
The UCM6100 series supports up to 10 call queues.
How many cities does the Weather widget support? Can I have multiple Weather widgets with different cities set up?
The Weather widget supports up to 10 cities to be added. However, multiple Weather widgets placed on the screen cannot have different cities set up. They take the same cities for the weather information.

The GXW4024 will support 24 concurrent calls for all codecs.

The DP715 support up to 4 simultaneous calls.
How many idle screens can I have in GXP2200 desktop? Can I set up different background pictures for each idle screen?
GXP2200 has 4 idle screens by default. Users could add up to 9 screens. To add new idle screen, press the Settings button and then tap on "Add" option when the phone is in idle screen. For the background picture, users could only select one for all the idle screen. Different background pictures for each idle screen is currently not supported.
How many idle screens can I have in GXV3240/GXV3275 desktop? Can I set up different background pictures for each idle screen?
GXV3240/GXV3275 has 3 idle screens by default. Users could add up to 9 screens. To add new idle screen, press the Menu Button and tap “Preview” option when GXV3240/GXV3275 is running on idle screen, then tap on "Add" option when the phone is in idle screen. All idle screens use the same wallpaper if configured on one of the idle screen.
