New Beta test features a Wave-2 802.11ac WiFi AP with 2x2:2 Multi-User MIMO technology

For this new beta test, the Grandstream Beta Club is looking for dedicated beta testers with previous experience in the wireless networking market, specifically using routers and WiFi access points. Ideal applicants are those who have hands-on experience with wireless network deployments, and have extensively used routers and wireless access points from vendors such as Cisco, Aruba, Ruckus, Aerohive, Ubiquiti, TP-Link, Mikrotik, etc.

In November 2016 Grandstream Networks released the GWN7610 WiFi access point, the first device in the brand-new GWN series of wireless/wired networking products. Grandstream will be further expanding its GWN portfolio with more product models targeting various segments of the market, and the new device currently offered for beta testing is a competitive device addressing the entry-level WiFi AP market.

This new beta test features a Wave-2 802.11ac WiFi Access Point with dual-band 2x2:2 MU-MIMO and beam forming technology. The WiFi AP features wireless throughput of up to 1.17Gbps with up to 165-meter coverage range. The device also includes 2 Gigabit network ports, 1 USB port and integrated PoE (802.3af). Each AP can support 450+ concurrent wireless devices. Importantly, the AP features an embedded controller that allows it to auto-discover, auto-provision and manage up to 30 other Grandstream APs in a network.

80 units of this WiFi AP will be available for shipping to selected Beta Club members around mid-December, 2016.

Program Availability & Pricing
Each product beta test released through the Grandstream Beta Club will have a limited number of beta test units available. Application to the Grandstream Beta Club is open to anyone and is FREE. Selection of participants will be determined by Grandstream based on applicant qualification. The cost to participate in a beta test will be $1 to cover handling, however the product model and shipping will be free of charge for each active beta tester. There is no charge to applicants who are not selected for a Beta test.
