Boston, MA (July 7, 2016) – – Grandstream Networks, connecting the world since 2002 with award-winning SIP unified communication solutions, is releasing a new enterprise-grade Gigabit VPN router and managed Wi-Fi access point for beta testing by the Grandstream Beta Club. Grandstream will be opening applications for the beta test of these 2 new products from July 7th – 20th. To apply go to betaclub.grandstream.com.
For this new beta test, the Grandstream Beta Club is looking for dedicated beta testers with extensive experience in routers and WiFi AP. Grandstream Networks will be entering the Wi-Fi market with its debut of a Gigabit VPN Router and a managed Wi-Fi Access Point. Grandstream is expanding its product portfolio to include innovative and competitive networking products. In true Grandstream style, these new devices are easy to install and manage; adding a new line of competitive wired/wireless networking products to revolutionize the existing routers and Wi-Fi device market.
This new beta test features a high performance enterprise-grade multi-WAN Gigabit VPN router with 1M packets/second routing and 10Gbps aggregate switching power. The router features 7 Gigabit ports (2 WAN and 5 LAN ports), 2 USB 3.0 ports, and PoE+. This innovative new router can auto provision and manage hundreds of wireless access points. The router supports various popular VPN protocols including IPSEC, L2TP, PPTP, and OpenVPN with speeds up to 300Mbps. Additionally, the router supports 3rd party printers, NAS devices, and 3G/4G-LTE dongles through the USB port.
The accompanying managed wireless product is a dual-band (2.4GHz and 5GHz) 802.11ac Wi-Fi AP using 3x3:3 MIMO and beam forming technology as well as advanced antenna design to maximize bandwidth, increase signal strength and expand Wi-Fi coverage. The WiFi AP features wireless throughput of up to 1750Mbps, up to 175-meter coverage range, 2 Gigabit network ports, 1 USB port, and PoE/PoE+. Each AP can support 250+ concurrent wireless devices. Additionally, the AP can be auto provisioned and centrally managed through the above-mentioned enterprise router without extra dedicated controller hardware or software.
